Condition
Unexamined out of frame. The board appears to be stable. There is a small, old scuff to the upper left corner. There is one very small nick towards the lower right corner and a slight scuff in the extreme lower right corner. There are some light handling marks to all four edges as well as to the white border. There is some light surface dirt throughout and some instances of studio matter, in particular towards the upper edge of the composition in the centre. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in overall very good condition. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is held behind glass in a simple wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
