Condition
The lot consists of a coffee pot with cover; a warmer and under saucer fitted to hold a tealight candle. Whilst the warmer displays a fine, historic hairline crack, overall the piece appears in good overall condition. The Coffee Pot: Height: 23.5cm.; 9½in. Structurally sound with no obvious signs of damage or restoration. There are one or two tiny pin heads and small spots of crawling visible upon extremely close inspection, and some light traces of surface dirt, but this excepting the work appears in excellent overall condition. The Warmer: Height: 6cm.; 2½in. Diameter: 16cm.; 6¼in. There is a fine, old crack running across the top of the warmer and down one side, which most probably occurred whilst the piece was in use. There is a small resultant fleck of loss to the inside of one of the perforated holes, visible upon closer inspection. There are further instances of light surface dirt. The Saucer: Height: 3cm.; 1¼in. Diameter: 14cm.; 5½in. Fitted to hold a tealight candle, there are some light traces of surface dirt and resultant detritus, but overall it appears structurally sound and fits snugly beneath the Warmer. Inspected under ultraviolet light. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
