Four sections, each with printed text and black and white phototype plates within a printed cream folder, each plate with a captioned tissue guard, brown buckram-backed portfolio with fabric ties housing all four parts, measurements approximately 395 x 310mm, a few leaves torn in gutter, wrappers slightly torn at edges, some tissue guards torn, portfolio slightly worn.

This work was published in Russian, English and French, and is a complete record of the royal jewels of the Romanovs from the early seventeenth century onwards, some of which were subsequently disposed of by private sale and auction. The Bolshevik government recalled and destroyed copies of this catalogue, hence its extreme rarity.
