Description

The ring of swirled design, centered on a round cultured pearl measuring approximately 11.4 x 11.2 mm, accented by round diamonds, size 6½, signed V.C.A., numbered NY5K925.1; and a pair of coordinating earclips centered on button-shaped cultured pearls measuring approximately 12.8 and 12.6 mm, within scalloped gold frames highlighted with round diamonds, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered NY56189, with maker's mark.

Condition

In good condition, the mountings with light scratches commensurate with wear, not noticeable when worn. The ring is stamped 18k; the earclips stamped 750 for 18 karat gold. The cultured pearls are of white to silvery white body color, with soft to moderate rose and aubergine overtones, good luster, and minor pitting not noticeable when worn. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.70 carats, are approximately G-H color, VS clarity with a few SI examples. Total gross weight approximately 30 dwts. The earclips measure approximately ⅞ inch in length.
