Description

Centering a cushion-cut sapphire weighing 20.34 carats, accented by four pear-shaped diamonds of yellow hue and two round near colorless diamonds, size 5¾. With additional diamond-set ring mounting.

Condition

In good condition, with minor wear to the mounting, predominantly to the back of the shank, commensurate with wear. Mounting tests as platinum. The four pear-shaped diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.20 carats, of light yellow hue, and VS clarity clarity. The two round diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.20 carat, approximately F-G color, and VS clarity. The sapphire is a medium-deep blue color, also known as 'Royal Blue', with subtly eye-visible silk to one corner below the table reaching into the crown facets. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 103338 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating, and that the color may be called 'royal blue' by the trade. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1095818 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by GIA report no. 1112399387 dated November 23, 2009 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1095818 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Please note that the diamonds of yellow hue have not been tested for origin of color.
