This work is in good overall condition as viewed. There is evidence of wear and losses along the edges of the work due to abrasions with a previous frame. There is some paint shrinkage at darker pigments, only visible upon very close inspection and under bright light, but this is stable and consistent with the age of the work. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals areas of retouching at the thin edges of the work, a spot of retouching at the lower watermelon, a very tiny spot of retouching at the roof, some tiny spots of retouching at the woman's jaw and hair, and a pinhole sized spot of retouching at her sleeve. Framed.
