Overall the condition of the brass is good, with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are some scratches to the surface, in particular to an area at the top rim and an area on the bottom edge. There is some tarnishing and minor greening to the inside of the mortar. There is rubbing to the relief at the high points. There are minor nicks and scratches to the rim.
