Condition

The canvas is lined, the paint surface is clean and the varnish is discoloured. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a thick, milky varnish underneath which it is difficult to discern much bar a few tiny spots of retouching along the edges, but the work otherwise appears to be in very good condition. Offered in a carved and parcel gilt frame in good condition.
