Condition
The panel is uncradled, made up of a single plank, and is flat and stable. It is bevelled on all four edges and has 6 batons along a horizontal split circa 14cm. from the upper edge, which is barely visible on the front side of the painting. The paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear and even. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals two campaigns of retouching. The older campaign consists of retouchings along the aforementioned split and scattered in the sky. The newer campaign consists of retouchings mainly scattered in the horse and the cattle in the background. In overall good condition. Offered in a carved wooden frame in very good condition.
