Condition
The canvas has a firm relining, the paint surface is clean and the varnish is slightly discoloured. There are small areas of retouching visible in the sky, in the clouds upper centre and upper right and along the left and right margins. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals retouching along the lower, left and right margins, scattered in the foreground, in the architecture centre left and scattered throughout the sky. In overall good condition without need for further intervention. Offered in a carved and moulded gilt wood frame with minor losses.
