- Length of longer 2 1/4 in., 5.7 cm
each half carved to one side in openwork with a pair of melons and a butterfly, the reverse with a raised bar, one terminating in a dragon-head hook, the other with an aperture (2)
Condition
Both parts of the buckle are in overall good condition with only minor expected wear (including a couple of minute nicks to the edges, and a hairline fissure to the underside of the aperture).
