Centered on an antique cushion-cut demantoid garnet, framed with concentric circles of rose-cut diamonds and round demantoid garnets, size 6½; circa 1900.

In good condition with light scratching and nicking to the slightly pink gold mounting, commensurate with age. The central cushion-cut demantoid weighing approximately 1.15 carats is medium yellowish green and eye-clean; a minor chip to the girdle and a small feather near the girdle seen under magnification. The 14 smaller, star-cut (round) demantoids are a vibrant, slightly yellowish green (a bit less yellow than the primary stone) and internally clean with abrasions to the facet junctions. The rose-cut diamonds are near-colorless and decorative in quality with several examples bearing cavities. Top measures approximately ⅞ inch.
