- 78.5 x 50 cm
the disciple of Padmasambhava seated on cushions at the centre, with the Ninth Dalai Lama, Lungtog Gyatso (1805-1815) above flanked by Lochen Rinchen Zangpo on his left and Ngog Lotsawa to his right, with Raton Tobden Dorje and Drag Nuden Dorje beneath, and Buton Yamche Khyenpa on the left below, Kunkyen Dolpopa to the right, flanking Machen Pomra together with his consort Gung Men Himalayan Art Resources item no. 18317.
Condition
Considerable loss from water damage of central figure and right of central figure. With the staining from water damage continuing diagonally to the top left of the painting. Considerable losses to the upper right and central figures and upper right corner, all visible in catalogue illustration. Vertical water runs through bottom left hand figure with resultant paint loss. Condition now stable and mounted in Chinese silk brocades.
