Condition
Overall in very good condition. There are natural knots, irregularities and separations in the wood grain, typical for Inland fir, and this has been reinforced with wood infill in some areas by Molesworth at the time of production. There are a few minor losses to this inlay on each leg, as would be typical of age. The loss to the infill of one leg more prominent, measuring approximately 14 in. along the length of the leg, but common for these Molesworth pieces and not visually distracting. The leather is original; its surfaces with faint signs of wear and instances of rubbing, the latter largely concentrated to the corners. A rare example with a beautiful knotty fir stretcher, the bench presents well overall.
