Catalogue Note

RARE. This account of the treaty against Suleiman II includes accounts of the siege of Nicosia, the formation of the Holy League after the loss of Cyprus, the capture of Famagusta by the Ottomans, the seizure of Methoni and Navarino in the Morea, Ottoman attacks in North Africa, and an account of the siege of Malta in 1565. 'The Italian Union catalogue cites an earlier edition published in 1585 in Genoa, however this is not recorded in COPAC, KVK, or by any of the [standard] bibliographies' (Ioannou).
