Catalogue Note
SCARCE. A visually striking record of the Hispano-Moroccan war of 1859-60. The conflict broke out following a raid by Moroccan tribesmen near the Spanish city of Ceuta. Shortly thereafter the Spanish invaded Morocco. The war ended with the Spanish victory at Tetuan, followed by the Moroccan's sue for peace.
