Condition

Overall in very good condition. When viewed firsthand the sconce displays an elegant and sculptural presence enhanced by its bright brass body. The brass surface presents with some slight darkening throughout, concentrated to the arms and semi-circular base, consistent with age. Two arms present with an extremely thin indentation measuring approximately 2 ½ inches long on each arm, not affecting functionality. The underside of the socket knobs with small areas of discoloration on each arm measuring approximately ¼ inch wide. The semi-circular base with scattered minor areas of oxidation, consistent with age and not visually distracting. The shades were also professionally reproduced to match the original design and are in excellent condition, with a few minute brown dots concentrated to one shade and only visible upon close inspection. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
