Catalogue Note

Dokoupil's pointillism is like a photograph with big grains or an out of focus black and white televised image that moves and breaks into coherent and disorderly particles. The image is there, but restless, distorted, hesitant, with dark punctuations and overtly bright areas. An image of reality as deformed and indecisive that the one offered by daily news.

Dokoupil hesitates between surrealism, expressionism, realism, abstraction and conceptual art.
