In-8 (225 x 118 mm). Bradel demi-maroquin fauve, dos lisse, couverture (Reliure moderne).Petites restaurations à la couverture. Édition originale publiée simultanément à La Haye et à Paris début novembre 1893.Elle est ornée d'un portrait-frontispice de Verlaine par Zilcken. Un des 50 exemplaires sur Japon signés par Verlaine (n° 21). Verlaine relate la tournée de conférences qu'il fit aux Pays-bas en 1892, à la demande d'écrivains et d'artistes hollandais en 1892. À La Haye, où il séjourna chez Zilcken, Leyde et Amsterdam, il y évoqua le symbolisme, l'art roman ainsi que des moments de sa vie.
