Veau ivoire à décor mosaïqué de pièces de veau carrées, ivoire ou gris-mauve estampées à froid, certaines avec des mots coupés extraits des poèmes, doublure de maroquin gris, gardes de daim ivoire, double garde de papier blanc, non rogné, couverture et dos, emboîtage (N. Kiyomiya, 2001). Couverture et feuillet d'épreuve du faux-titre restaurés. Dans une élégante reliure en veau ivoire de Nobuko Kiyomiya. Édition collective. Exemplaire de service de presse. Tendre envoi autographe signé à sa mère, sur le faux-titre à l'encre noire : "à mamansouvenir du printemps si grave de 1932 avec l'amour deJean" (l'étoile de Jean Cocteau). En cette année 1932, Jean Cocteau sort meurtri de sa relation avec Natalie Paley et de cet espoir d'enfant avorté.
