Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade is executed in a cheerful, naturalistic palette. The tulip blossoms are articulated in vibrant red and coral hues, which are offset by the sky blue background glass and bright shamrock green foliage. The shade with fewer then 5 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some minor traces of surface soiling to the contours adjacent to the leadlines, consistent with age. The "Mushroom" base is in very good condition and displays a rich brown patina. The bronze surfaces with minor surface scratches, abrasions, and traces of light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design, consistent with age and gentle use. The shade riser appears to be a later replacement. The sockets and paddle switches appear original and undisturbed. With a period finial in very good condition with some evidence of resoldering to stabilize the knop. An very charming shade and base pairing with vibrant coloration.
