Description
Designed as a line of calibré-cut pink sapphires between borders of millegrain-set circular-cut diamonds, to a later extension, length approximately 190mm, signed Polak Aîné, numbered, French assay marks and maker's marks.
Condition
Accompanied by GCS report no. 79184-79, stating that the pink sapphires are of Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heat treatment. Bracelet signed Polak Aîné, numbered 8673, clasp tongue inscribed Paris, stamped with French assay marks for platinum, partial French maker's mark M G (symbol indistinct). Pink sapphires ranging in size from approximately 6.1 x 5.0 x 3.3mm to 4.2 x 3.7 x 2.2mm, calculated to weigh a total of approximately 24.00 carats. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.00 - 4.00 carats. One ruby towards centre with fracture throughout, possibly held together by mount. Other rubies with some surface-reaching inclusions and areas of minor surface wear, overall in good condition. Sides with some areas of discolouration due to solder. Overall in good condition.
