The square compact with chased foliate decoration, the lid studded with collet-set circular-cut diamonds, the thumbpiece with circular- and single-cut diamonds, opening to reveal a powder compartment and a mirror, measuring approximately 63 x 67 x 11mm, signed Boucheron, numbered, stamped with French export assay marks and maker's mark and British import hallmarks and sponsor's mark.

British import hallmarks for London, 18 carat gold, date letter C for 1938 and sponsor's mark BR. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 2.50-3.50 carats. Some tarnish, mostly near one ocrner of lid. Thumbpiece and hinge in good working order. Small chip to two corners of mirror. With original powder puff, some powder residues. Gross weight approximately 141.8 grams. Overall condition good. Fitted leather pouch.
