The votive is in stable condition with only minor nicks and dents to the surface, and losses to the gilt (all as illustrated). There are minor manufacturing imperfections and the bronze has oxidized to black and olive-green tones.

Compare another example, dated to the 20th year of the Taihe period, corresponding to 497, of the same subject matter and with the same rope-twist border to the base, however lacking the large blossoms, sold in these rooms, 5th June, 1973, lot 272.
