ink and color on silk, mounted on paper, supported on a board backing, a Buddha seated upon a lotus blossom set on a multi-tiered throne and wearing a monk's robe, the right hand raised in abhaya mudra, the round face with downcast eyes and an ushnisha framed by spirals of dark blue hair, a wave-patterned mandorla radiating from behind the body, scrolling polychrome clouds and small floral sprigs floating in the background beneath a canopy, a pair of small guardian figures seated on the stepped throne below, framed
