of flattened baluster form, inscribed to one side with four characters in red reading ping an sui fu ('peace and fortune'), above a large panel enclosing a long dated inscription, signed Rui Chang of Changbai and dated 13th year of Tongzhi, corresponding to 1874, followed by a two-character seal reading Rui Chang, reserved on a ground of dense scrolling clouds, the other side with a scaly dragon striding amid clouds above mountains and a walled city, with a further inscription and signed Nan Xing shi zhi ('made by Nan Xing'), followed by a four-character seal reading Changbai jiuzu ('the old family of Changbai'), the narrow sides each decorated with five bats among scrolling clouds, all below pendent plantain leaves encircling the neck and a band of keyfret around the rim, the interior mouth carved in relief with three bats in flight

In overall good condition with minor surface wear. There is a shallow and minor crack starting from left side of the neck, wrapping around top part of back, measuring approx. 17 cm. The interior with multiple small carved circular grooves.
