- Height 3 1/2 in., 9 cm
naturalistically carved in the form of a knotted trunk, the exterior finely carved in high relief with two magpies perched on gnarled prunus trees issuing blossoms and flower buds, the surface richly patinated to a warm reddish-brown color

Condition
The cup with a patch repair (approx. 1 x 1 1/2 in) to the rim and another patch repair on the base of approximately the same size. There is a long consolidated split running the full length of the cup. The surface with wear, small nicks along edges, small splits and with a dark stained shellac or varnish overall.
