Description
- Diameter 14 in., 35.5 cm
the rounded sides rising from a splayed foot, finely painted in bright enamels, the top centered with a flowerhead encircled by scrolled leaves and ruyi, further ringed by six bats, all over a gilt leiwen ground, a band of wanzi and flowers above the rim and the foot, the base encircled by a row of colorful petals and a band of entwined gilt vines, the interior set with a gilt-metal tray containing nine fitted trays painted with bats and shou characters over a bright blue ground (11)

Condition
With three areas of consolidation and touch-up painting, the longest of which measures approx. 14 cm wide below the rim of the box. With minor wear to the gilding and enamels. The interior gilt-metal tray cannot be lifted out of the box. With minor dents and compression areas.
