Description

  • Height 34 in., 86.3 cm; Width 37 in., 94 cm; Depth 37 in., 94 cm
the floating panel top with three boards set within a molded frame above a recessed waist, the apron a plain straight stretcher joined to the top by an openwork band of contiguous oval ring struts over small foliate-form spandrels joining the slender square-section legs terminating in hoof feet

Condition

The top panels have minor expected shrinkage and associated consolidation. Two of the ovals and one spandrel have consolidated breaks, and the joins of some of the other ovals and spandrels have been reinforced with adhesive There is expected surface wear to the lower legs, and two losses to one of the stretchers. This lot is made from a type of Chinese hardwood that will require a CITES permit to leave the United States.
