Condition

MVT: is running at the time of cataloguing. CASE: with signs of wear consistent with age and frequent use. Hallmark and numbers on the back are still crisp. The hallmark on the right band is still visible and the one on the left band slightly rubbed off. Noticeable scratching to the case is visible on the lower left band where the notch for the hinged back lies. DIAL: with signs of aging as light spotting is visible throughout. There are areas with staining and there is tarnish to some of the indexes and the hands, most notably at 2. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. Catalogue Note

Sold during the Art Deco period this early platinum wristwatch is a wonderful and original example. Its large case still retains lovely proportions and platinum marks to the band and center of the case back. The case back inscription is stil incredibly crisp and easy to read. The overall rarity and case condition is complimented by the crisp Breguet numerals applied to the dial.
