Catalogue Note

The present lot is a nice example of Patek Philippe's art in making the complicated simple. While thin in its construction this watch is satisfying to hold, the repeater functioning audibly and could be activated with a very pleasing slide and click. The enamel dial is accentuated by red numerals on the outer side of the minute track, and the Breguet numerals on top provide a sophisticated and tradition overall aesthetic to the watch. The movement is typically finished to an incredibly high standard and the wolf's tooth winding is a characteristic of the finest pocket watches from this period.
