Catalogue Note

Sophisticated and smart, the present watch is a reference 96 Calatrava that was made in 1953. With its well-defined round case and elongated lugs, the reference experienced great success and remained in Patek Philippe’s collection for over 40 years from 1932. Although the dial has been cleaned professionally, the case of the watch is preserved in an attractive overall condition which is unusual for a 66 year old watch. The present lot will appeal to the collector who prefers a minimalistic design.
