Condition
CASE Case is personally inscribed " To may darling your perpetual calendar so you can always remember me Elaine." Case in overall good condition with wear and light surface scuffing consistent with use and age. Case bands with some surface scuffs and small scratches. A heavier scuff mark to the band at 11. Case back with surface wear and scuffs throughout. Crystal glazing with some scuffs. DIAL Dial in overall good condition with some light surface dust. Logo is raised and very attractive.Some very light wear to the hands, applied indexes and moon phases disc. MOVEMENT Calendar phases properly - activated through pushers to the band. The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. The Ref 725 was launched in 1940 and produced for about 40 years and features arguably the best 17'" caliber quality of its time. The caliber was so celebrated that the firm modified this caliber for a variety of famed models including world time and skeletonized watches.
