Catalogue Note

Reference 6239 was produced in 1963 through 1976 - made in stainless steel, 14k gold and 18k gold.  The reference features pump pushers and a metal bezel engraved to incorporate a tachometer scale. The present watch features the 'floating Daytona' dial, which is considered to be a rarity within the Daytona reference.  For another example of a similar dial configuration, please refer to Lot 176.

This early example from 1964 is presented with its original 300 units per hour bezel, and has been well preserved for almost 60 years.
