Condition
The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals some fluorescence to the sky along the extreme upper edge which appears to pertain to an uneven application of varnish. There is a small repaired puncture to the canvas in the lower right corner which has been retouched. There are some fine lines of stable craquelure in the sky. The stretcher is visible in the extreme upper and lower left corners. The impasto is rich and the colours vivid. This work is in overall good condition and might benefit from a light clean.
