Condition
The canvas is lined and the edges are taped. There is a thick varnish through which the UV light cannot fully penetrate, but UV examination does reveal several retouchings to the extreme edges, most prominently to the left and right edges, and some possible historic retouchings to the centre of the composition. There are some fine lines of craquelure in places. This work is in overall good condition.
