Condition

This work is executed on printed canvas. The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals some scattered small retouchings throughout. There is some frame abrasion to parts of the extreme edges, with some associated retouching, visible under UV light. There are some paint losses and tears to the lower and upper right corners and some paper residue at the extreme upper left and lower right corners. The canvas is nailed along the turnover edges and there is evidence of oxidisation to historic nail holes, not affecting the face of the work. There are fine lines of craquelure throughout, and some associated minor paint losses most noticeable in the lower right quadrant. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
