In-8 (187 x 122 mm). Basane marbrée, dos à nerfs orné, tranches rouges (Reliure pastiche).Rousseurs éparses. Édition originale. Exemplaire de premier tirage avec la correction manuscrite à la plume de Rey ajoutant un accent aigu au mot "conformé" dans l'antépénultième ligne de la page 11, la faute au prénom de Rousseau ("Jaques") au titre et à la dédicace et les trois cartons aux pages LXVII-LXVIII, 111-112 et 139-140. Elle est illustrée d'une vignette (la Liberté) sur le titre, gravée par S. Fokke, d’un frontispice gravé en taille-douce par D. Sornique d'après C. Eisen et d’une vignette en tête de la dédicace gravée par S. Fokke d'après P. Soubeyran. Bon exemplaire, complet du feuillet d’errata. Provenance : Dr Jean Marchand (ex-libris).
