Description
Set with an oval step-cut emerald, weighing 6.66 carats, the mount enhanced with circular-cut diamonds, size 55, four small diamonds deficient.
Provenance
Jeanne Lambert de Cambray (1901-1985), who married Edouard de Colbert, Marquis du Cannet (1894-1971) Thence by descent.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 108529, stating that the oval step-cut emerald, weighing 6.66 carats, measuring 14.18 x 13.22 x 5.29mm, is of Colombian origin, with a minor amount of oil in fissures. Emerald with abrasions and nicks to the girdle and some surface reaching inclusions. Four small diamonds deficient. In overall good condition. Gross weight approximately 6 grams.
