Description
One earring suspending a drop-shaped emerald measuring approximately 11.5 x 10.9 mm, the other supporting a natural pearl measuring approximately 10.7 x 9.8 mm, each capped and accented by single-cut and old European-cut diamonds.
Condition
In good condition, the mountings with only very light surface scratches, noticeable only under 10x magnification. Mountings tests as platinum. The emerald is medium slightly bluish green, moderately to heavily included with surface reaching inclusions. The semi-baroque drop-shaped natural pearl is light gray with some minor brownish areas, which are oriented to the reverse and not noticeable when worn, soft to moderate pink and blue overtones, good luster, with moderately wrinkled skin, noticeable under close inspection. Lengths of the natural pearl and emerald are not obtainable due to mountings. The two old European-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 1.80 carats are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. The remaining single-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.20 carats, are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Length approximately 1⅝ inches. Accompanied by a photocopy of GIA report no. 2155153321 dated December 18, 2012 stating that the pearl is natural, saltwater.
