Condition
Original canvas. Unlined. Appears sound. There is a seam running vertically within the right hand side of the work where the canvas is joined. There is a patch to the left hand side of the canvas, measuring approximately 40mm by 40mm. Both the patch and seam appear to be contemporary to the creation of the work and the artist's intent. Upon close inspection, there is cracking visible throughout the surface of the work. There are punctures visible to the excess canvas on the reverse of the work. The punctures exhibit some rust. There is an area along the upper framing edge that exhibits stretcher marks and associated minor surface loss, measuring approximately 30mm wide. UV Light Report: Inspection under UV light shows no signs of restoration or repair. Frame: Please note that this work is unframed.
