Condition
The canvas is original. There is some slight rubbing to the edges of the canvas. There are one or two very fine isolated lines of craquelure. There are some minor accretions to the paint surface. Only visible in raking light, there is a fine raised line of inconsistency in the weave of the canvas. Subject to the above the work appears to be in excellent overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is floated within a simple white wooden frame.
