Dial: later white enamel, gold spade handsMovement: gilt full plate, verge escapement, winged pierced and engraved balance cock with foliate scrolls and a mask, signed John Berry, London, No. 2579Case: gold associated inner case, stamped IG and with London hallmark for 1816, outer gold case with armorial engravings, London hallmark for 1750, maker's mark C.C Dimensions: 50mm diameter Signed: movement Accessories: together with a gold heavy curb link chain and unusual three part Carnelian fob seals nested together as one, the largest and exterior fob with engraved coat of arms, the middle with monogram, the smallest with the family crest, and fitted box retailed by Green & Ward, London
Condition
DIAL: the dial and hands of similar date to the inner case are in good order. CASE: the coat of arms on the reverse is a little rubbed, the push button is slightly dented. The inside caseback and bow are later and hallmarked 1816 . The outer case with mark's mark C.C, numbered 2392, obscure hallmarks. Movement: the movement cannot be wound and will need a service and some attention. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its timekeeping.
