Description
- 9.5 cm, 3 3/4 in.
the cylindrical slightly flaring sides raised on three short cabriole feet, the exterior encircled by the 'Eight Trigrams' below a horizontal band in relief, applied overall with a sea-green glaze, the central section of the base and part of the interior left unglazed revealing a pale buff-coloured stoneware burnt orange in the firing, Meiji period pierced metal cover
Condition
Characteristic firing imperfections including a firing flaw to the interior approx. 2.6 cm and another very minor one to the inner footring approx. 0.6 cm. A few extremely minute flakes to the glaze surface at the inner rim. Minor general surface wear.
