- Calligraphy Fan Leaves
- ink on paper, three fan leaves
- (Zhang) 15.7 by 49.3 cm. 6 by 19 1/2 in. (Zhang) 16.3 by 50.8 cm. 6 1/2 by 20 in. (Wu) 17.6 by 52.9 cm. 7 by 20 3/4 in.
(Zhang) signed Wentao and with three seals of the artist (Zhang) signed Chuanshan Zhang Wentao, with a dedication and three seals of the artist (Wu) signed Yuren Wu Xiqi, with a dedication and two seals of the artist
Condition
(Zhang) -Moderate cracks and creases throughout, repaired. -Minor paper losses where a few characters of the inscriptions have been partially obliterated. -The lower left angle of the fan leaf is slightly damaged. (Zhang) -there are serval areas with an evidence of rubbed, where some areas of the calligraphy are blurry and abraded. -minor paper losses, repaired (Wu) - minor marks to where the fan bones originally placed. - a few minor foxing over the surface of the right hand side of the fan leaf - the right margin bears slightly darken tone - a minor paper losses, repaired, and red marks at the left margin
