The Speedmaster 105.003 was produced from 1964 to 1969 aౠnd it was the model that became officially Flight Qualified for all Manned Space Missions on March 1, 1965.
The present lot is a 105.003-65 which became famous as the watch worn by astronaut Edward White during the 1965 Gemini IV mission when he became the first astronaut to space walk. The watꦓch has since then received the nickname Ed White to celebrate this historical moment.
Powered by the last generation of cal. 321, this charming example is fitted with its correct 'dot over ninety' bezel (DONꦛ) from the first series (1961-𒁏1970), as indicated by the dot next to the base of the 70 mark.
