The reference 2915 as a whole was only in pro🥃duction from 1957-59, and therefore there are very few surviving examples.

The present lot is from the second iteration of the first Speedmaster, which is identical to the 2915-1; in fact, the only difference is the c🔥ase back number as even movement serial numbers are intertwined between the two.

The early Speedmasters all had minor variations, particularly to t♋he bezel. Some examples feature flat 3’s on the 300, some rounded, some with serifs and others without. Some of the bezels are believed to never have had the black paint applied to the 🍬numerals.

This examples survives in very ꧂good original condition with well defined thick lugs and original bracelet. The flawless dial is complemented by the rich patina to the indexes and hands.
