Gemini 5, crewed by Conr🌄ad Cooper, was 7 days, 22 hours, 55 minutes, and 14 seconds in length, and marked the first time an American-manned space mission held the world record for duration. This was set on 26 August 1965, by breaking the Soviet Union's previous record set by Vostok 5 in 1963.
