Appearance: Gold

Appletiser! Or as we used to call it, “Appletise”. There’s some banana behind there and definitely vanilla, but also some lemon an♑d savoury character. Lemon Chicken with apple crumble and warm custard for dessert. The light Springbank peat lingers around the sweeter flavours bringing something rugged and robust to the proceedings. Some painter’s canvas can be found lurking towards the end.

In the mouth this is certainly no light whisky. The fruit is there, the light peat still lingering, but there’s something more. That robust and rugged character. Something slightly metallic – the iron girders for which Scotland’s drinks are famous. This whisky is proudly displaying Springbank’s distillery DNA so far, and 𒀰when the ꦫsherry rerack takes hold it is certain to soar.
