Some of the gold-mounted hardstone snuff boxes were kept in the collection for another thirty years: one in the shape of a mouse, a puddingstone gold box in the shape of a reclining dog and two further animal-shaped examples were sold as part of the second Collection du Baron de Redé Provenant de l'Hotel Lambert sale at Sotheby's Paris, 16 March 200♒5, lots 35-38.
